The association
From the scene, not from a business model.
Sequenz e.V. is a registered non-profit cultural association rooted in the Rhein-Neckar region. Founded in 2021. Techno and hardtechno, curated nights, a dark room. Carried by its members, run on a voluntary basis, financed through fees and tickets. Music first, everything else after.
The principle
The principle
Music first. No profit motive, no guest lists, a no-photo policy for guests.
Tickets are priced to cover costs. Any surplus flows entirely into upcoming events.
Booking follows musical consistency, not fame. Local and emerging artists stand next to established ones when the music is right.
Locations are chosen for sound and atmosphere, not capacity or prestige.
Values
Values
What everything is measured against.
Experience over profit
The night counts, not the balance sheet. No payouts, no private profit from event revenue. What remains flows into the next one.
Freedom through expression
A room without pose and without an audience. Whoever comes is there for the music and for themselves.
Shifting boundaries deliberately
Uncompromising in curation. Sequenz follows the sound, even when it is uncomfortable. If the music is right, then yes. If not, then not.
Respect & safety
Respect is not a request, it is a requirement. Awareness structures carry every night. The room stays the room.

Awareness
Awareness
Respect is not a request. It is a requirement.
Sequenz is a space for everyone. Abusive behaviour, discrimination and harassment are not tolerated. Anyone who violates this leaves the night.
Awareness contacts are on site at every event. A strict no-photo policy applies to guests. The room stays the room.

Sequenz belongs to those who carry it.
Sequenz lives on people who carry the association. Membership costs 5 € a month, and every member has a say. Active help is welcome, not required: there is room in booking, awareness, tech, setup or organisation. No prior experience needed. Anyone who just wants to help it exist at all is just as welcome.
Die Nacht gehört denen, die sie erschaffen.
